This week is crazy!
And I mean crazy in a good way
(Last Thursday)
We signed up for choir competition which will be held
in
6 days.
Two trainers came from PJ3 to teach us.
But before that, each and everyone must sing in front of them so that they can differentiate us according to the different range we have.
Repeating: SING ALONE!!!
I froze at the ALONE word.
My friends went up first.
One by one, the line became shorter and shorter.
And I went up, my hands were so cold already that time, my heart was beating unstably.
I sang, without my squeaky pitchy voice, for once in a very long time.
Then after the first word of the chorus, I made a mistake, breathing through the nose... and the trainer told me to restart... I was freaking out so much...
Then when I finished the chorus, I pointed to my left, trying to do sign language: can I leave now?
After everyone finished, she told us where we are and I was in the "soprano"="upper range" part.
"Great, I'm going to crack my voice."
(Last Friday)Out school teacher had asked for permission for us to skip every class until wednesday.
She then gave us the schedule
Friday: 10.10am to 4.00pm
Sunday: 9.30 to 1.30pm
Monday: 7.30am to 4.00pm
Tuesday: 7.30am to 1.00pm
"Shoot! This is not going to be sweet. We also have drama festival on Saturday! Man! We're really stressing our voice to the max!"
(Yesterday: Sunday)
We sang, sang, sang...
learned, learned, learned the movements
memorize, memorize, memorize the lyrics
memorize, memorize, memorize the steps
We stood for at least 3 hours....repeating the stuff above...
Our legs sore because of last Friday's practice. I guess we're just not used to standing for so long! Some of us even had muscle cramps...
(Today: Monday)
The same thing happened as the one written above!
And it gets messy....some of the sopranos cracked their voices during some of the practice.
We got lectured, of course!
Our English lecturer came into the studio, saying about a debate forum thingy... (InternationalStudentVirtualForum) <-- not sure if it's correct...
I put my name in the list, still wondering if I really wanted to join...
After that, we went to our math class...as Mr. Gan finished class, he thought us how to dance waltz...first with the boys....the girls learned from the side. I went down with some of the girls as we needed to continue our choir rehersals.
The trainers also bought candies, those for coughs and sore throats, so that we don't crack our voices!

Nothing
This means something and nothing
It's already a year huh?
I still think of you
Wondering how are you doing
Wondering if what I did to you was
I know
It was
Stupid
Heartless
Believe it or not
There will never be an explanation
That was me
And I'll always be like that
As crazy as I am, somehow
I still have feelings for you
I don't know what they are
therefore
I hate them
I still care about you
Not because of who you are to me
But
Because I was programmed to be like that
Have you moved on?
I do hope so
because as many times as I will look back
at all of the memories
I know that I will not step back
Even if I already know it wasn't right
The stupid naive girl
That doesn't even think of the consequences of her actions
Now writing this nonsense
To wake up the next morning
Only to
Say that it's just another random story
Without a start nor an ending

An Old Story 019
Seohyun waited for Erin in her car.
"Bye Jayme! See you tomorrow!" Erin waved to her friend before getting into the car.
"Hi mom!" Erin greeted cheerfully.
"So where do you want to go for lunch?"
"Anywhere?"
"Funny, I don't see that on the map."
"Mom! It's not funny!" Erin pouted.
"I got it. What's for lunch?"
"Can I cook??" Erin asked exitedly.
"But...I think....sure, why not." Seohyun teased her daughter.
"Yes!" Erin was excited to finally make her mom a proper lunch for the first time.
Seohyun laughed at her excitement. "So how was school??"
"Ricky's the DJ for this week! I got 84 for English Language! And... and... and... 79 for Korean language." Erin was a bit disappointed about the 79 marks cause it was so near to the "A" grade.
"Awe... come one girl, cheer up. You're the only girl in school that takes Korean Language. I know it's tough to learn by yourself. Come one, what did you do today?"
"And I baked cookies just like what we did during the holidays! And I still suck at drawing!" Erin laughed at her last statement as Seohyun followed.
@@
"Mom, where's the ketchup?" Erin was flipping though the cupboard.
"It's on the left drawer, I'll take it for you." Seohyun took the ketchup and passed it to Erin who was starting the fire.
"Now, try not to burn anything." Seohyun warned Erin even thou she knew that Erin will not burn any of the food. Erin was a very careful and meticulous girl, even at that age.
"Okay." Erin answered and started cooking the potatoes.
Seohyun looked at her from the doorway of the kitchen, feeling proud of her Erin.
@@
"When did you learn to cook like this?" Seohyun couldn't resist the temptation of having another serving of Erin's chicken pie.
"I took the recipe from the internet and learned it a few days ago. It took me a few tries... oops... nothing."
"Erin, how did you practice?" Seohyun pretended to be suspicious.
Erin gave an uneasy laugh and told her that she had begged Fakri to teach her.
"It's okay if Fakri is not busy and in a good mood." Seohyun knew that Fakri as the only cook in the kitchen is very stressful and she don't want Erin to disturb him when he was resting.
"Erin, do you think it's okay if I go to Korea for a week?" Seohyun asked all of a sudden.
"Eh? Are you going there? When?" Erin nearly choked while her mouth was full.
"Just asking. Dongjoo asked if I want to go there for a week, to catch up with my friends there." She said after making sure Erin was fine.
"Sure, why don't you go? Remember to bring me some souvenirs!"
"Wait, you don't want to go?" Seohyun was curious.
"I have exams, mom. And there's this candy making competition in 2 weeks, I can't wait for it." Erin was sure of not going to Korea.
"Mom, do you want to go?" Erin looked at Seohyun who wasn't focusing.
"I'm still thinking. Never mind about that. You want that last piece of broccoli?"
"Is it good? You take it mom." Erin said and continued eating her food.

An Old Story 018
Dongjoo wondered who would be at the door. He wasn't expecting anyone at all.
"Coming." He lazily walked to the door and answers it.
"Good morning, sir. I am the manager of this hotel. I apologize for interrupting but you must evacuate this room immediately." The man at the door said calmly.
"We just detected a gas leak in our hotel. I'm sorry to disturb, but for your safety, you should get out of the hotel immediately."
"Alright." Dongjoo nodded and the man bowed. He then left to knock on the next door.
@@
Dongjoo sat at the table just outside the restaurant. He put the backpacks down by his side, massaging his shoulders.
"What did you bring... It's like bringing the whole house with you! Aish, Jaeygu... "
He looked inside the restaurant. There were a few customers and a waiter or two. But she wasn't there.
One of the waiter came to him and passed him the menu. He didn't feel like eating and he ordered a cup of iced lemon tea.
He took out his notebook and started to look through the news at the main page.
"Here's your tea, sir." Someone put his tea on the table.
"Thanks." He said while browsing through the net, not looking up. The person left to the next table.
Suddenly, he paused. That voice was so familiar.
He looked to the direction the person had gone to. She had her back towards him. He couldn't see her face, but he was certain it was her.
"Seohyun!" he called out to her.
She turned and smiled at him. She signaled to him to wait for five minutes and disappeared into the kitchen.
@@
"Hello! How's your trip here?" Seohyun was smiling so brightly.
"Really interesting." Dongjoo said with a bit of sorrow tone.
He took a deep breath. Seohyun looked at him with worried eyes.
"What's the matter?" She asked as she pulled out one of the chairs and sat down.
"Seohyun." Dongjoo called her name, both his hands held hers.
"Seohyun, do... do you want to go back to Korea with me?" Dongjoo stuttered with his words.
"What?" Seohyun was surprised but kept her calm.
"Do you want to go back to Korea with me? To start anew. Why don't we start all over again?"
She turned her head away.
"But Dongjoo."
"Please?" Dongjoo still held her small hands.
"I can't. I don't know you." She didn't look at him.
"I have my life here, the restaurant is my dream and Erin too... I'm sorry." She was ready to leave the table but Dongjoo never let go of her hand.
"Seohyun, I'm sorry, I don't know what got over me." Dongjoo knew he couldn't just ask her to just leave everything, but he had to try. He still loves her.
"Seohyun, would you like to go to Korea, maybe just for a week? You're friends never saw you for so many years..."
She stood up and replied, "I'll think about it. I need to work now. So... I'll leave first. Please do enjoy your tea." She bowed and left.
