got on the bus at 12 midnight
played around with my partner in crime~ applepine!!!
listened and sang along to the songs being played on the bus
slept and woke up for who knows how many times

went for breakfast at R&R
arrived at zoo Taiping
split into 7 teams
played treasure hunt (expect that there's no treasure but quizzes)
we were in group 5
with applepine, mi.e, venice, mushroom, sharon
ran like crazy to the first checkpoint (mushroom said we were playing Running Man)
then we realized
we want to appreciate the animals and strolling in the zoo
so we chose to walk after that
singing old folks songs (even thou I don't know the lyrics)
going checkpoint after checkpoint (our quizzes answers were all wrong!)
looking at the animals and taking photos
at one of the checkpoints, we met up with our teacher and had a small chat
he said we'll be leaving the zoo at 2pm
"lucky" us, we still had 2 checkpoints left...
after that we kinda started running around and writing random answers (which were 100% wrong)
finished the treasure hunt at
yeah, you guessed it
last place
plus, aching feet
had lunch
it rained a bit and became heavier
ran to the bus and left for next destination

went to paya bakau area (mangrove area)
visited the mini museum that explained the importance, ecosystem, uses, process about mangroves
took pictures of the greens
walked on the wooden bridge above the swampy area
did our biology experiment (quadrant(?) / biodiversity density)
I lost my pencil in the swamp while taking notes
pity my lovely wooden pencil
we accidentally lost the 2 wooden rulers for the experiment too
oops

went to a terrace house which was also for home-stay
girls in one house and boys in the other across the street
what's not fair?
there were 29 girls and 2 teachers in one and
11 boys and 2 teachers in the other
get the math?
got the room in the second floor (I considered it the master bedroom)
there were 12 of us in that room
we had 2 hours to shower and prepare ourselves before dinner
there was only 1 toilet in that room
we lined up, chatted, laughed, made phone calls
it was quite a sight
pity I didn't take a picture of it
I was the second last to the shower and after that, we walked to the boys' house for dinner (more like supper since it's already 9pm)

slept at 11 pm
we woke up at around 5.45 with our teacher giving us the morning call
she said we're going to the boys' house at 7 when I remembered hearing that we're suppose to go there at 8
but whatever
we dressed up and walked there
and this happened
the doors were all locked
it was quiet
suddenly a figure appeared at the balcony
grabbed his towel and went inside
another figure appeared and took his towel
nice going....
they just got up when we are already starving for breakfast
the breakfast came almost an hour late

anyway
after breakfast, we went to a village in the mountains(?)
where they were famous for making labu sayung (pots/vases)
we got a chance to carve and paint one for ourselves
sprayed spirit methil after the painting
but I ruined mine by being clumsy me
we wrapped our little pots in newspapers and left the place

next...
Lost World of Tambun (a branch of Sunway Lagoon)
we had our lunch
and went playing away
walked at the artificial beach
and headed to the water slides
but I didn't get the chance to try the slides
the guard there said that wearing long pants (even if folded) is prohibited, especially on slides
sigh
sigh
after that we walked in the swimming pool
since almost all of us don't know how to swim
when we saw our teachers in the pool
yeap, we started splashing each other
and later the two bio boys
then the other two teachers
it was a totally different side of the teachers
yeah... I'd say they're cheeky
after a drizzle, we went on the pirate boat ride (I have no idea what is it called)
it swayed left and right
higher and higher
and I couldn't take it
it was too thrilling
and frightening
screamed my lungs out
after that
I felt my trachea being chocked by low pressured air
it was just weird
took some time to get my heart rate back to normal levels
then
we took another ride (rotating swing, still no idea about the name)
it was okay at first as I chose to open my eyes and look at the scenery
but after 1/3 of the ride, I felt dizzy and closed my eyes throughout the ride
hoping I won't puke
as I got down
wow.... my head was spinning
after a shower and changing into dry clothes
we walked around the area
we waited awhile for the train but it didn't come so we continued walking
and arrived at the petting zoo
we didn't pet the animals
there were rabbits, snakes, tortoises, lizards, racoons...
then we went to the bird cage...
at first, only kaikai and applepine went into the big cage
me, mi e and mushroom stayed outside
then the guy there asked if applepine and kaikai wanted to feed the birds
applepine fed the birds while kaikai kinda freaked out when the birds gathered for the food
kaikai slowly went back to the door and out of the cage
feeling a little "adventurous"
I went into the cage and asked if I could try
the guy handed me some food and called a bird that later stood on my arm
at first I was scared but it didn't poked me or hurt me
so yeah, I felt so proud at that time (I've never really touched any animals... even doggies and kitties)
after that all of us walked inside the cage
there were white peacocks and they were just majestics
when it was time, we gathered, took pictures, went to the souvenir shop

had dinner
then went to the night market
there wasn't any snacks
only clothes and accesories
kinda disappointed
since the night market at home was better
high expectation brings nothing huh?

went back to the house at around 12
packed our bags since we're leaving the house
talked talked talked
until it was 2am
then only we turned off the lights
woke up at 7am
prepared ourselves, took the luggages and put them in the bus
went for breakfast
left for Gua Tempurong (Limestone Cave)
we were suppose to be going for the 4th package (whole cave including river)
but the river inside the cave was flooded and needed examination by the officers
it was prohibited because of the earthquake and the 5 hour rain a few days ago
so we had to go with the 3rd package which includes the tour inside the cave and the shallow river
the tour was okay
walked a total of 1280 steps of stairs (640 to and fro)
after that
we were told to go into the water
the river bed was a mix of marble and sand
you really can't quite see because the water was flowing fast
I was hoping I wouldn't get drenched but
one of the cheeky teachers had to be extra playful
he splashed water during a photo shoot
and I was in the first batch of getting drenched from head to toe
then everyone joined in
some ran away thou
after the water game
we went for a mini tour and introduction about herbal plants
later, changed into dry clothes
the teacher said we could visit the souvenir shop for 15 minutes
applepine and I stayed on the bus
nearly the whole bus was empty
then the teacher
asked
who wants ice-cream?
he's paying too
of course we said yes
reason he's treating us?
he doesn't need to find/hunt us in the souvenir shop

sat in the bus
heading to R&R
for lunch
bought ourselves a coolblog yoghurt
apple flavor, honeydew flavor

continued journey back to Johor
everyone slept in the bus
except applepine and me
we talked, sang, laughed
get this
for 3 hours
then others start to wake up and it was our turn to sleep

dinner~ also at around supper time
also at R&R
had a taste of soursop(?) juice, toast, cikong
stuffed ourselves

reached home at 11pm for The hills have eyes 2
creepy movie...
