Floatin' through

I will just cry and continue life as is

Because I've always do it that way

I have a system of "helping" others, in the sense where I am, and will be occupied

This is bad behavior, I guess

Because I'm just running away from my problems

Thou I am the problem itself

So what should I do?

What could I do?

Should I do anything?

I am the box, the lid, the cat, the hand

Yes, I'm never going to find peace as how everyone close around me is

I'm not worthy of peace

I was peaceful only because of the mask I wear

the mask I wear when I'm around people

I am scared now, of the roof falling over me when I'm chilling in my room

Because of the recent winds and thunder and rain, the window closing in by itself when the winds gust

My heart stomps quicker when I feel vibrations in the walls and floor

When it's probably just a cat or a neighbor walking

Thou it's not recent

There are things building up to where I am now, to how I feel now

It's all just me

It's always just me

I'm just like that

as fortunately and unfortunately as it is

I will feel emotions and will talk myself out of it

and it happens again and again

Just as how I would expect I can face greater fears, I react worse as days gone by

Maybe I'm not meant to face these challenges and conquer them

Maybe I'm just meant to break into pieces

And into smaller pieces

And slowly I glue myself back to how it was

But the cracks shall not fade

The cracks will crack and be even more fragile

Is this how it's going to be? And will be?

I don't know

No one knows

I haven't been active. I haven't been active for years. Life is interesting as it is and I've drifted off from this hidden locker. Well one thing was because school life only takes about 4-5 hours of a day, whereas working takes up double that time.

I'm not sure but I've seen articles mentioning of a 4 hour work day. That was quite awhile back, I wonder how many more places have adapted this culture. Will we ever get the chance to try it out?

Then again, I'm not sure what I'll be doing with the extra time. I don't know if I'd blog more. I'm not having a stream of creative.... creative river? waterfall? Hmm... not sure of the particular word I should use. I look back at what I've wrote and of course there were cringe stuff, but I'm also quite proud with whatever is already out there. It's not perfect but it is what I've created. What else to blabber about? Well I miss doing a lot of things outdoors. I go out a lot, at least I used to. The pandemic has left me swinging alone. Only now do I realize, I like people. And online shopping is a terrifying activity.

I'm thinking of building up a routine for myself. Thing is... starting it is tough for someone who's been slacking for who knows how long. Thinking is easy, but doing... should be easy too...? I manage to read a few books this year. Actually it's all from one series. Bridgerton. I watched the Netflix series with Coffee and we ended up binging on the other Bridgerton siblings. Thou, Coffee has already finished reading up till book eight. I dashed through book 2 to 7 and then book 8 only halfway. Then I haven't picked it up since... 2-3 weeks ago? Sorry Gregory.

I've started to watch a lot more shows, since I have a functioning Wi-Fi and laptop. Yes, I've had a long period of time where I did not have Wi-Fi.

And  yes, this is where I end.

Life Of A Saturn's Agent: A New Journey

Being someone to be a bit more than curious, Triel could only read up to half a page of her novel before she turned her attention to the baristas and the various beverages they were making.

One with dark green hair was making Rainbow Cloud. Different from its name, the Cloud was not of rainbow colors but of different shades of pink. The process of making it was quite complex as one has to ensure that the different shades do not intertwine and loose its perfectly alligned pink display.

Another elder barista was making Jelly Beans Don't Jump. Instead, they dance. Music has to be played when this beverage is being made or else they would jump away and you are only left with an empty glass. Triel read about it since it was only created a few months back. Not many people could make it as one has to find good jelly beans, good music, have good timing and skills.

The last barista was making Triel's freeze coffee. It's coffee served in an ice glass which will eventually melt. This is simple to make compare to the other two, thou it is tougher for the person who drinks. Some people couldn't finish the coffee before the ice melts and it would start dripping.

For Triel thou, she believes that the beverage was made perfectly. You see, being from Pluto, she naturally has a much lower body temperature as compared to the beings on Earth or Saturn.

While enticed by the scene in front of her, her phone had rang vigorously.

"Triel?" It was Taylb and he sounded like he was rushing.

"Yes. Speaking." Triel pursed her lips, wondering why would he call.

"There's a new department, the planning department. Would you be interested in a junior position?" Taylb seems to be gasping for breath, pausing the conversation.

"But I just left..." Triel trailed.

"Well, you haven't, at least officially. Your documents are all still in my hands. So, back to the topic. Interested?"

"Alright. But could I take a break, perhaps three days?" Triel still has some things on her mind and she needed time to sort them.

"Yes. The department won't be starting until next week. Considering you might feel bored or go around making troubles... I'd happily approve your break. I'll send you the related documents to what you might be doing under the new department."

After telling Triel a bit more, the call ended as Taylb had to attend a sudden meeting.

Conversation

Dongjoo, what are you up to these days?

Nothing much actually.

I've just finish my things for this month. Got anything I can help?

Yeah... There is. I have a few demos here. Could you help me go through them?

Sure. Whose are these?

Mine. I'm going to use some of them for the movie.

You? You wrote them?

Yeah. I wrote them some time ago. Why? Are they good? I know I'm no song writer...

They're good alright. I'm quite surprised the actor turned director can also make songs.

I did get help of course. Anyway, your comment?

All of them are nice. In fact, do you mind if I ask one from you?

I'm good with that. But why?

This one, the "kings and queens". I have someone in mind when I hear this song. Do you know we're working on a new group? Working name is called JK. This song fits them...

Whoa... You mean you want to use my song for a debuting group? Are you sure it's okay? You're willing to take such a big risk?

This song has good beats and strong lyrics. Just with minor alterations and a little refining, I'm sure it'll work out. Please? I'll make sure to get you the copyrights.

Okay. Good luck then.

Thanks. These songs are all good. Dongjoo, have you ever thought of a singer career?

Me? Nah. I'm no good at singing.

You're natural voice is nice. And didn't you sing for that drama? What's it called... The... The Queen's Revenge!

Haven't you check? That was 8 years ago. I was still a kid.

But you sang and it was good. It's still nice even today. I just listened to it yesterday.

Yongjin, forget about that idea. I have projects already... I just started out directing.

Yeah, I know.

But if you could, I'd still like you to borrow me your voice next time.

Next time then.

"Just a little bit more." The lady holding the brush told her.

She closed her eyes since she wasn't very familiar with the pinkish powder that was brushed onto her face. It was a big day and she had to look her best. At least, that's what everyone around her told her. To her, the meaning of the ceremony was greater than anything else. She could care less of how perfect she looked.

"What time is it?" She asked another lady who was taking pictures of the decorated room. She should not be late. Keeping in check of the time was important for she would not want to be a person who lets people wait. She relaxed her lips as the lady painted the outer line.

"It's almost 9.30."

She still has half an hour before the scheduled time. Her hair was pulled up and curled, A few strands were pulled a little too hard and she winced in her mind.

"Thank you." When the lady told her the process was over. She was now dolled up and sitting as still as she could for fear of ruining anything.

"Elise?" She turned towards the voice and saw her best friend at the doorway.

"You look so pretty that I couldn't recognise you!"

"The makeup was done pretty well then. Where did you go just now?" She switched topic before she starts complaining of how horrifying makeup was. She could write a thesis on the traumatic psychology of makeup if she wanted to.

"I was helping your mom, she was making sure the place was perfect. You know, occupational hazard." Zoe laughed while admiring how beautiful her friend was. She was dolled up and that never happens. This was the time to appreciate it.

"Thank you so much." Elise smiled for her friend always understood and helped out whenever she needed it.

"Just help me look for a guy. I would thank you for it." Zoe teased. She wanted to pinch Elise's cheeks but remembered there was makeup and resisted.

"You look beautiful." Zoe couldn't help but sighed.

"Thank you. You've said that earlier."

"I know. I'm just admiring your makeuped face."

"Appreciate it as much as you can lady, this doll is as rare as the blue moon." Elise posed dramatically as Zoe started taking pictures of her.

Her phone on the dressing table buzzed and she felt a chill down her spine.

Zoe passed it to her naturally since she was closer. Thou Elise felt weak when the phone was in her hand.

"I'm sorry." The message showed on the screen even before she unlocked her phone. The sender was from the groom of the day.

"What's it about?" Zoe asked before realising something had happened.

"Looks like you'll be my honeymoon date. Interested to go on a trip to Whitehorse for a week?"

Patterns on her skin

people shifted their gazes towards her

"What is that mommy?" A child tugged at her mother's shirt.

"Hmm... you should go try this on." Her mother handed her a dress, shoving her towards the changing room. She was too engulfed in picking the best clothes for the new year.

She walked on

not bothered by any of the eyes looking at the marks on her legs

"Don't be like her." An elderly warned her grandchildren.

Thou... they were too busy admiring the girl.

She walked into the book shop.

All eyes were on her for a moment.

But they soon went back to their own things.

Sorting out the stationaries
Reading the new novel
Flipping through comics
Stacking up old books
Browsing through cook books

"Hi, may I know where is the crafting section?" She asked one of the staff, a teenage girl with long curly hair and spectacles.

"Umm... I'm not sure... I think it's around that side... I'm new here..." The teenager stuttered and pointed towards the far end of the shop.

She looked at the name tag.

Pan
Trainee

"Thank you, Pan." She said and went towards the pointed direction.

"Wait for me" She whispered to herself.

A portrait of a mermaid hung on the wall opposite of her.

She started to work on her crafting skills after getting the books and tools she needed.

She has to practice hard in order to make her dream come true.

I'm currently in the school computer lab, waiting for the next class.

Seriously, I'm having a hangover.

Having a hectic schedule last week was exciting and tiring.

But now, I'm having a hangover.

I tried to wake up early today, setting up four alarms.

But I failed, waking up only one hour later and rushing to tidy myself up before my friend picks me up.

We had this event in school. It's the introduction event for Chinese society. I got to sing a song, and uhm... if I ever have that brave step, I might post the video link when I get it.

It was really fun, especially after my turn. No matter how many times, I think I'll still have to face that nervousness before going up on stage. Well, in this case, it was a lecture hall. After the event finish, we sang whatever that we can before tidying up and packing up the instruments.

I think I went hyper... Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

I hope the juniors won't freak out too much...

Yoochun's version of Drunken Truth is on YouTube now.

Darn it I love that song.

Chen's version next.

Hmm Slept until I felt like waking up cause there's no class today.

Say Yeah to no alarm clocks!

What should I write today?

"Slow motion" by Karina is on the playlist now. Loving the lyrics a lot.

I've got two assignments on my to do list now, one's a quiz while the other is a homework from Geometry Modelling.

Then there's this other list for the school band. It's going to be a busy month for me. Luckily there's holiday in week two and three.

Short post cause I've been daydreaming about a cluster of things.

I need to find guides on keeping a proper schedule. Google, here I come!

Ah, yesterday I discovered a guy in the kpop scene. I watched three videos about him.

One, his Teenager MV.
Two, his audition in Superstar K4.
Three, his episode of Weekly Idol.

Here, I just wanna say,

I am taking Jung JoonYoung as my spirit model!!!

So it's the second day of school for this semester. Only one class for today because the lecturers are out of town. I'm trying out this "no naps in the afternoon" thing. Second day success I guess. Hopefully I can continue this cause I seriously need a proper sleep cycle.

Hmm... what to write... Uh... after class we went for lunch at the café, spent 2 bucks on a plate of rice with salted egg and cucumbers. I almost wrote timun instead of cucumbers. And then we went back home by van sapu, paying 1 ringgit.

Spent the afternoon reading this 10 page research report and then a chapter of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. I did scroll through Facebook in between reading.

After that I turned on the computer to write... and got distracted by a kpop compilation video by Daredb. I really like his videos. This time it was about DGNA, a group whose voices are amazing. I still can't get over listening to their English songs covers. No many how many years passed I can still go back and listen to them, getting chills down my spine.

There I go all happy about kpop. Anyway, I watched a few videos on Youtube before writing a bit more about the trip to KL with Coffee. Yes, it was more than a month ago and my memory isn't that great. I felt like doing something and that will be my project for now. I've finished day 3 and still have about 6 to 7 days left. Hopefully I can finish writing them before school gets busy.

Ah, a new band just came out recently, DAY6 with the song called Congratulations. I am loving it. It's quite surprising to see more than one member singing and rapping in a band. I got to browse some fan cams too. Uhmm... I believe I've chosen a bias too. But since it's only the first song and I haven't got to know any of their names, let's just wait and see.

So, after trying to write and getting distracted, I started this post of a random day at home.

Ending this to watch Hyuna's performance.

KL Trip with Coffee 4

We went for Thai boat noodles!

I like their tables and chairs. All of them were wooden colour. The noodles are served in small bowls. You could finish them in two or three mouths if you want to. Both of us ordered 9 bowls total, fish balls, a green-white layered dessert... I think that was it? Ah, we ordered drinks... I called coconut while Coffee's one was... Uh oh... can't remember.

Sorry Coffee. Just to show how apologetic I am, I started this paragraph to apologize to you.

After ordering, we read the books we brought. I was slow in progression while Coffee was at lightning speed. She mentioned about this extremely cute scene between the characters. Ah, sweetly romantic.

Food came pretty fast. I took my time eating and tasting the two sauce for the noodles. There's this herb smell but it was nice for me. One sauce was sour? And more appetizing. The other one was nice with the herbs and it had a light taste.

While eating, there was a table nearby with a few ladies... We couldn't help but to overheard their conversation. Office politics and roommate conflicts. It wasn't our fault, they were quite loud too.

After that we went home and chill out. I can't remember what we did, but it's probably variety shows or random videos... of fathers and their babies called Return of Superman.

We had lok lok for dinner. I can't remember how many rounds we went through that area just to find the open space. The traffic wasn't helping us too. The streets were a bit messy but we did finally figured out where the place was. We found a parking quite fast, getting out to see the place full of people.

It was a hard time getting a place to sit but we managed. I had boiled stuff while Coffee went for grilled ones. It was my first time eating lok lok like that. I never get that chance even thou the truck can be found anywhere at my place. I don't know why too.

We had dessert after that. I forgot what it was called. Mat Dou Yao? I forgot the name... but it's suppose to mean "We have whatever you can think of in this dessert" in dialect. We brought it home where we watch videos on Coffee's laptop while enjoying the Taiwanese-ish dessert.

And that's all for today's rambling.

KL Trip with Coffee 3

We woke up extremely early in the morning... relative to holiday sleep cycle. Coffee had to go for a medical check up for intern. We went out of the house early cause we weren't sure with the directions. This, I might say, is one of the funniest moments in our trip, same level as seeing Kwanghee in Infinite Challenge?

I have no idea how to begin this. Uhm... we drove out, correctly going into the area which the hospital was in. The GPS in the car was working, up to that point only. And... we stopped at a parking lot in front of McD. Debating what to do and even thinking of approaching the car nearby to ask for directions. But we didn't cause based on the driver's reaction, I believe they were also having a hard time figuring out their route.

Somehow we ended up continuing our path ahead. Had a few U-turns and contemplating where to go to next. Ah, and I randomly, assumed that this brown color sign was the hospital. I was extremely wrong thou, it led us to this golf resort. Laughing, and driving randomly, with the help of Coffee's memory and a map on the phone to at least know if there is any road ahead, we stopped at this traffic light to see Jusco in front of us. And on our left was the hospital.

You cannot imagine how happy we were.

We arrived early and waited a while before Coffee filled in her details and went for the tests. I was still reading Vagrant and Coffee was with Eleanor and Park whenever she was free. After completing the tests, we had to wait for the results. Hungry, we ate sandwiches at the cafeteria there.

After that we went home, with the help of the GPS this time. We packed Indian food at the stall near Coffee's dorm. We had lunch at the dorm with air-conditioning. Here, I will say, air-conditioning in KL is an addiction. I cannot stand the heat at all. Or maybe it's just me being fussy hehehe.... I'm still complaining here, in Terengganu where there is none of these electrical miracles.

For teatime, we went out for waffles. Incredibly yummy waffles. It was a café that also specialises in making really yummy waffles. Did I mention that they were yummy? They have these chocolate and caramel fountains at the counter. Looking at them was hypnotizing enough. Coffee was taking photos while we waited. I don't know if it's the atmosphere, deco or lighting, the photos are very nice. There wasn't many people at that time and it was so comfortable there.

After yummy yummy yummy waffle, we decided to have light dinner. Two main reasons. One, waffle was very filling. Two, budget for the day is at its limit. We bought instant noodles and stayed at the dorm for a night of shows and performances. Through the laptop of course, since buying ticket to a concert is too mainstream for a fan girl.

KL Trip with Coffee 2

We met up with Kira since she didn't have work. We decided it would be around Midvalley at this place called Antipodean. It's between Midvalley and the Gardens. A lovely place and the people there are so warm and welcoming that it makes me smile unconsciously.

We arrived early and sat down at the table. The menu was written on a wall. Coffee and I stretched out necks to read and discuss what to order. I was in a moment where there were too many words on the wall that I couldn't just pick one. I decided at that moment to wait for Kira since she knows what's nice.

Coffee started taking pictures and I can't remember what I was doing. When Kira arrive, Coffee was playing with the panorama effect. Kira had a cough and it sounded quite bad actually. It was uh... normal (for us) you could say. At least she was taking medicine.

Kira ordered big breakfast and Coffee went for salmon. The waiter there then recommended me grilled chicken with tomatoes and asparagus. We chatted and updated each other while waiting for the food. Kira was working at this book fest and it was crazy work. Adding in her cough, well, let's just say it's not a good mixture. By the way, food was awesome. I went and like their Facebook page. Hehehe...

After the very satisfying meal, we went to the book fest. Kira browsed through the Chinese and English section while Coffee and I went through the English section only. I still have lots of unread books at home but still... the book fest was too tempting to not buy anything. I ended up with 4 books, where there's 3 fiction, 1 I still have no idea what to categorize as. Coffee bought fictions while Kira bought about 3 bags of books. I have no idea what they were. She's a book lover so yeah, you'd expect three times the books bought as compared to mine.

After that we parted ways with Kira and went back home. On the way we bought McD for dinner. Spent the night with some more infinite challenge and running man. Ah, we also started reading the books that we bought. Wait, uh, I started with a new book while Coffee continued hers, Eleanor and Park... I'm not sure if the spelling is correct or not, sorry. I started with Vagrant.

We slept a little earlier since we had to wake up extra early the next morning.

KL Trip with Coffee 1

On the 14th of July morning, Coffee and I departed from Johor to KL for a trip. It was meant to be a triple threat thing but Tea couldn't make it. *Cries*

Coffee drove while I try my best to be a good girl and not be hyper. Did I do it? I'm not sure... I was singing to songs that was blasting from the speakers. Coffee was singing too! The road trip was about 4 to 5 hours. I was a sloth and slept through more than half of that time. Sorry Coffee, I'm noisy and a sleeper.

When we arrive we went to meet up with Pat. The lovely ladies took their thesis paper thingy and we headed back to their dorm. Coffee and I watched a bit of Running Man and Infinite challenge. Okay, a few hours of variety shows. We laughed a lot. I wonder how much calories we burnt. Coffee, mind doing some calculations?

Dinner was at this Japanese restaurant that focused on set meals instead of sushi. It's called Ichiban Ramen? I can't remember the actual full name but that's what I noted down. It was a small shop and there were a lot of customers. Luckily there was a table for two. The food was nice. I remember having rice with meat and kimchi. Don't know the actual name thou.

After dinner we toured the mall, all floors were journeyed. Coffee was the tour guide and explained where the good stuffs are. We were window shopping... There wasn't anything we specifically searched for anyway. Ah, after walking through all floors, we decided to go for dessert.

Mango Sensation was ordered and we shared it. Luckily we called only one bowl since it was HUGE. We took quite awhile to finish it.

I can't remember what we did after we went back to the dorm. I remember writing random stuff...

And so day 1 ended.

GWSWHU

She heard a light tap, signifying that someone had came into the house. In the kitchen, she stopped cutting the carrots and waited for any more sound.

The stair panels creaked a little, meaning someone is going up the stairs.

"Triel!" She shouted, knowing who it was already.

The footsteps up the stairs fastened and with a bang of the door, she knew that Triel had locked herself in the room again.

"What is going on with that girl..." She mumbled as she continued her work in the kitchen.

UnNamed

"Here's your tea. Do enjoy." She placed the tea in front of the customer with care, bowed and left. She noticed that the customer, a man in his forties, was staring at the newspaper in his hands. An article had caught his attention and she believed that he may have burned a hole into the paper if not for the cup of tea that was served.

"Thank you." He said. After taking a sip of the tea, he dived back into the newspaper.

"You tried the new chorus?"

"Not yet. I'm still trying to change it. The ice-blends here are nice, especially the chocolate one."

Two teenagers came into the cafe. A tall boy with a guitar behind him and beside him was a shorter boy with a black hoodie. Both were in their uniforms.

"Nah. I'll just get some coffee."

The two sat down at a table further inside the cafe, where it was more cooling with the air conditioning.

Her coworker served the two youngsters while she stood at the counter, thinking why is the part timer late for her shift today. The part timer was supposed to check in 15 minutes ago and yet, there was no sign of her. Should she call to see if she's coming today?

"One chocolate ice-blend, one black coffee." Her coworker came to put the order and she started making the beverages.

Serving the two boys, she went on to clean the table where a family had just finish their late lunch and left. The youngest daughter rushing for a language tuition while the elder brother has a game of basketball at the court nearby.

"That one with the guitar looks familiar... You recognize him? I can't seem to remember where I've seen him." Her coworker asked as he cleaned the cups and glasses in the sink.

"Maybe he comes here often?" She guessed. Taking another look, the boy don't look familiar to her at all.

"No... I saw him somewhere else..."

"I don't recall... maybe he looks like someone you know..."

"Hmm... don't know. You need more coffee beans?" He asked as he wiped the cups dry before arranging them back on the shelf.

"Yup. Almost out here. It's on the left side in the storeroom."

"Okay. By the way, where's that part timer? Is she coming?" He realised that the girl was already 30 minutes late.

"Not sure. I'm calling her."

UnNamed

I wrote this a while back,
February 6 to be exact.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Help me with table 14."

She finished wiping table 8 and proceeded to the one next to it. There were a few customers but since the part timers are not here today, it's much more hectic for the workers.

"Alright. Table 5 wants cappuccino." Her co-worker nodded and walked towards the table of empty cups and plates.

"Got it." She went to prepare the beverage while her co-worker was stacking the plates.

As she was placing the cup on the saucer, she felt a warm breath of air at her neck. She smiled a little, knowing that he was behind her.

"The cappuccino's done." She said, wiping the side of the cup.

"I know."

Hands wrapped her waist gently, a feeling she recognized immediately. She slowly turned around, making sure to not knock the cup.

"Hi." Putting her arms around his neck, she tiptoed to give him a light kiss on the lips.

Her heartbeat wasn't calm yet she maintained calm on the outside.

She felt herself blush but she was sure he didn't see it.

"I suggest we go get popcorn and watch a movie." He said, observing her facial expression. Even until now, he still finds it hard to read her.

She nodded, contented at the thought of going for a movie after a busy day.

"Nice!" He pushed something into her palm and took the cappuccino to be served to the customer. She looked at her palm to see what he had give her.

It was a paper folded rose. A pink one.

She couldn't keep in her smile as she carefully kept the rose in her pocket. She continued her work inside the kitchen because the dishes need to be washed.

While she was at the sink, a small boy walks in and stops suddenly. He looked around. It looks like he wasn't sure what to do.

"Are you looking for the toilet?" She bent down and asked him.

He nodded, as expected.

"It's right there." She pointed the direction and he ran towards it.

"You know? We need to refill the storeroom. There's not much left." The cook said while checking the logbook for the food stocked.

"Ah... really? How many days?"

"I'm guessing about... 4 days more?" The cook estimated the amount of food left in the storage.

"Then I'll go restock tomorrow. Do you have anything you want to buy? I'll get it together." She wiped her hands dry and went beside the cook to see the book.

"I'll list them down at the remark area here." The cook pointed at the logbook.

"Then I'll go tomorrow evening. So you have time to list the things." She said while scrubbing the pan in the sink.

I knew you existed.
I just didn't know you would appear in my life.
