"Are you going out?" She asked the guy who had a grey cap on.
"Yes. Wanna follow?" He asked while opening the door.
"Yeah! Wait for me!" She said excitedly, jumping off the couch and grabbing her sweater.
"O...okay." He was startled by her sudden excitement.
The two walked out of the building and into the streets. The girl skipping while the other was walking calmly.
"Where are we going?" She asked suddenly.
"To the mall." He replied with a flat tone.
"Why are you talking like that?" Usually this person is the one to be speaking enthusiastically in any chit chat or projects, yet today, he was in a different state.
"Hmm?" He went wide-eyed, looking strangely at the other.
"Are you alright?" She tilted her head, wondering if this is her friend in front of her.
"I'm okay." He said and continued walking. The other following behind.
"We need to stock up on meat, then veggies, then some fruits. The ketchup is finished too. There's also rice, chillies, sugar. Let's go get that durian shake too!" She listed out the things to buy, not forgetting the sweet durian shake after the shopping.
"That's a lot. Did you bring enough money?" He asked when he heard the non-ending list she was making.
"I'm not sure. Let me check." She took out her purse and started counting the money she had.
"Yeah, enough for the groceries, but maybe not the durian shake..." She pouted, thinking that her sweet durian shake will just have to wait for another time.
"We're here. Where do you want to go first?" The two finally reach the mall after a 20 minutes walk.
"Trolley!"
"Okay then." The two then went to get a trolley.
"Rice first." She said while the other pushed the trolley.
They took 4 bags of rice after checking them.
"Umm... are we going to carry this?" The guy asked when he realized that it was already tough to push the trolley. It was only the first item too!
"Ah! I forgot!! I guess we'll have to do with 1 for now." The two then put the other 3 bags back to the shelf.
"Now the... ketchup." She said and led the other.
They took the ketchup and a few other food cans that were nearby. Then, they went to get a tin of crackers. She also decided to get fish and some vegetables.
Before they went to the cashier, they estimated the amount to be paid. Turns out that they were over their budget, so they took out the fruits that were meant for desserts.
"I guess this is all we need." She said while checking the trolley again.
"We'll get in line then." He then lined up at the cashier counter.
It was a long line before it was their turn.
