Horror Not: Ham and Pie

Warning: Not suitable for kids... or teens...

"You are exactly who I'm looking for." He went forward, closer towards her. Their faces almost touching.

She had nowhere to hide. The only route of escape is blocked by him.

"Don't be scared. Hmm... you're a beauty..." He examined her flawless skin as her eyes only showed fear.

He was about to caress her face when a hand held his wrist, tightly like it wanted to break the bones inside.

"Get away from her." The man who had a pair of grey eyes said as he twisted the other's wrist.

"You're her... cringe in charming?" The other guy gave a soft, dark laugh after he got his wrist back.

"Get out." The one with grey eyes said as he got ready to hit the other.

"Sure... Way to kill the moment." The guy then left the place like nothing happened.

The grey eyed man then took his book that was on the other table and left as well.

"Are you okay, dear?" The old lady which was the owner of the shop asked the girl who was still in a dazed.

"I'm... I'm fine." She said weakly and left in a hurry.

She was now on top of the old bridge. It was a bridge that connected two towns. It was a strong one, one that was now a hundred years old.

The cold wind blew as she slowly breathed in the air.

"You know, you shouldn't be alone at this time of the night." A deep voice came from behind her.

She turned around to see the same person. The one with grey eyes.

"I... I'm j...just getting a little fresh air." She stuttered.

"Be safe." The man said and walked away.

"Uh...Uhmm..." She tried to call him but stopped.

She went home soon after.

Opening the door, she sighed at what was in front of her.

"I want dinner!"
"I'm hungry!"
"Can we have pie?"
"I don't want pie"
"I want ham!"
"You're so inconsiderate!"
"You're so selfish!"

"Shut up!!!!" A voice thundered as the young ones quieted.

The owner of the voice then turned his head towards her.

"So? You got anything?" He said with a threatening tone.

She lowered her head and walked quickly to the kitchen. She knew, she was going to be in trouble.

"You mean you got nothing out of that bloody guy!? I got a twisted arm for nothing?! Not even a rusty quarter?!!?"

She kept quiet as she busied herself, making dinner.

The man who was now in rage ransacked her bag.

He smirked when he saw what he wanted.

Taking the small pouch that was in the pocket of the bag, he opened and looked inside it.

"So, you did well today." He said and took the cash that was inside the pouch.

She continued as thou he was invisible.

He snaked his arms around her waist and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"Make ham and pie for them today. We're celebrating." He said and left the kitchen.

She shuddered at the disgusted man as tears fell uncontrollably.

A Chance

"I'm not performing tonight." The singer turned and left.

"What? How am I going to start a concert without a singer? Wait!" The owner of the place was desperate. This was not a good thing for the launching of his shop.

It took him a lot of phone calls and time and money to get the singer. And she walks away after taking her money?? Without performing???

"Do any of you know any singers or bands or just any kind of performance? Anyone we can get in half an hour?" The owner asked his staff after telling them the horrible news.

They shook their heads.

"Jillie can sing." someone voiced out and Jillie was pushed to the front.

"Roy!!" Jillie said in frustration.

"Can you sing? Just for tonight? I'll give you the fee. Just one day?" The elder man was nearly begging her.

"I... I... I'll try..." Jillie stuttered.

"I'll help out too!" Roy said almost immediately after their boss thanked Jillie.

"Thank you. You can go get ready, I'll try to cover more of the tasks here. Go, go, go." The boss shoved them into the dressing room and later dashed to the kitchen to help out.

"You could have just said you wanted to perform." Jillie hit Roy's arm as she mumbled.

"Nah... he was looking for a singer. I only know a little guitar." Roy tried to cool her down.

"Says the guy who shouted I'LL HELP OUT TOO!!!" Jillie stared at him while the volcano inside her was steaming.

"We have to rush. Go dress yourself up a bit." Roy smiled and shoved her to the closet.

He flipped through the closet and chose a soft pink color dress.

"There. Now go change and hurry up." Roy said and left the room.

He knows...

Jillie, hurry up!" Roy knocked on her door as he checked his watch.

"Okay..." Jillie hesitated as she opened the door.

Roy then led her to the chair and start fiddling with the make up and her hair.

"When did you become a professional makeup artist?" Jillie asked while she tried to calm her heart down for the performance.

"Umm... part time job as a photographer?"

"And when was that?" Jillie asked, curious to know how he was so... gentle yet quick...

"Last week." Roy smiled as he finished the last touches.

Jillie didn't bothered to check herself in the mirror. She... didn't know how to anyway...

"You look beautiful." Yenn smiled as Jillie was standing by behind the stage.

"Thanks." She smiled shyly.

"Here's the song!" Roy came a little later, holding the music sheet and his guitar.

"Okay, okay~ Kids, don't be nervous, just relax and do what you can. I'm counting on you. Now go, and surprise the crowd!" The owner said and disappeared after that. Probably into the small crowd.

Horror Not: E...li...saa...

Warning: May contain violent scenes, parental guidance is advised.

@@@@@@@@@@

Her heart was beating harder and harder as she walked at a faster pace.

It was around 8 at night.

She turned her head around, making sure there wasn't anyone following her.

Suddenly she heard something.

Footsteps.

She quicken her pace.

"One more block." She said in her mind, trying to calm herself down.

She crossed the road, turning to check again.

"Three more houses..."

"Two..."

"Hey there!" Someone tapped her shoulder as she froze.

"O my... why are you breaking into a cold sweat?" The voice spoke again, but with a softer tone.

She turned around to see an old lady.

"Mrs. Webster, you scared me... I'm just having a bit of cold, nothing much. I have to go now... we'll chat next time." She said and continued towards her destination.

"...E....li.....saa....." A soft sound echoed as her spine froze.

She ran as she fumbled for her house keys. She didn't dare to turn anywhere else but to focus her sight on her house door which was a few feet away.

"...li..sa..."

"...eliisaa..."

"..eLISA..."

"...ELIISAAA!!!!!!"

The voices got louder as she opened her door, she locked it after getting in safely.

Tears came out of her eyes as she leaned on her door.

I don't want this hell...

Curled up, she sat there until the voices went away. It felt like hours...

The ticking of the clock caught her ears.

"No... no..." She shook her head while turning the key that was now in the door knob. The key wasn't budging.

"Not again... NOT AGAIN!!!!!!!!" She screamed out of fear, of desperation.

9 o'clock.

NO NO NO NO NO NO! NO!

Bloody scratches formed on her arms and legs as she was tortured by invisible sharp claws. The  claws dug deeper into her skin as she screamed louder.

Snip Snip Snip Snip Snip Snip Snip

Her long hair fell to the floor followed by the shaving from the razors that were 'never there'.

Each one of her fingers were hit at the tip. Like hammers nailing down on iron nails. She heard the cracking sound of the bones as the pain became more and more excruciating.

She could do nothing. All she did was sat there as her body was covered in open wounds. Fresh red blood oozed through them.

She closed her eyes, not wanting to see the state of her body.

Pain had numbed her senses as she lay there like a lifeless doll.

Soon, she lost conscious.

"Elisa, Elisa, wake up." A warm hand shook her gently as the voice called out softly.

Elisa kept her eyes closed.

"Elisa, are you feeling alright?" The voice asked again, with a worried tone while the hand touched her forehead.

Slowly, she opened her eyes to see the blinding sunlight of the morning.

"It's over..." She said to herself while the other looked at her, all confused.
