Life Of A Saturn's Agent: Leaving

“Good afternoon ma’am, I’m here for the transport.” Triel handed her documents to the lady at the counter.

After looking t the details, the lady swiped her ID card and typed on the keyboard. Triel wanted to see what was on the computer screen but it was blocked from her view.

“Weird…” the lady at the counter said.

Triel was going to ask what was it about but the lady was busy typing again.

A while later, she handed back the documents to Triel.

“Your profile won’t unlock. You have to go back to your officer. I don’t have the authority to do unlocking. Next please.” The lady said and went back to her work.

Weird… why was she denied entry? Taylb had given her all the documents… had he forgot to unlock her profile? No, he wouldn’t be such a careless person… She had updated her file regularly too… what went wrong?

Triel then went to Taylb’s office.

Inside, Taylb looked at Triel, his eyes show no emotions. They talked a little…

“Do you want some tea?”
“No, thank you.”
“I’ve looked through your report from yesterday. It was good.”
“Thank you, sir. Sir, I went to the transport section and they’ve denied my acess.

“Triel…” Taylb dragged. He didn’t know how to say to her.

“Triel, I pulled you out of the probation program.”

“What? Why?” Triel couldn’t believe her ears.

“I pulled you out of the program because there was another trainee with more experience here.”

“Who is it?” Triel got curious of this person.

“He’s from another department, from the administration. Triel, you will still have a chance.” Taylb, even if he didn’t showed it, something pricked him inside when looking at Triel’s disappointment.

“Really? When’s the next selection?”

“In another 9 years.” Taylb said. He knew what she’ll say.

“Thank you, sir.” Triel said, the magical sparkle in her eyes gone for that second.

“Triel left the office with a heavy heart.

Back in her room, Triel tidied her things.

What will she do now? She couldn’t stop thinking. Where does she want to go? Suddenly, she didn’t know what to do. For once in her life, she was lost.

After putting her things into boxes, an envelope in hand, she went to Taylb’s office once again.

“Are you sure?” Taylb asked while receiving the resignation letter.

Triel nodded.

“What are your future plans?” He asked the girl.

She gave him a smile as an answer, chasing the grey atmosphere away.

“I see you have something in mind.” Taylb felt happy to see her smile, even if he didn’t show it.

“Thank you, sir, for everything. See you next time. Bye!” Triel beamed. She has a plan now and she’s feeling very good about it.

Outside the company, Triel walked while carrying her belongings. The things were heavy, but bearable. Her eyes were searching, her head turning here and there, towards each shop that was on the street.

“There it is.” Triel thought as she stopped walking.

She dialed the number that was on the wall and waited for the other end to answer.

“Hello?” An old man greeted.

“Hello, sir, may I speak to Wril?” Triel asked.

“I am Wril. Is there anything?”

“I’m now in front of your shop. I would like to purchase it? Along with the second floor?”

“Sure, we shall meet at the coffee shop opposite? The Breeze Brew? I will be there at about 1.30 afternoon.”

“Okay, sir. Thank you!” Triel then ended the call and crossed the road to the shop.

Inside Breeze Brew, Triel took a table and ordered a freeze-coffee. Still an hour before Wril comes, she took out a novel and read it.

Life Of A Saturn's Agent: The Rum Cookies' Fault

"How are you? I've been given my first mission." The girl thought about what should be written in her letter.

"Triel!!" I heard a voice screaming from outside.

"Oops...?" Triel starting thinking back about anything that she did wrong.

"Triel!" The door flew open, showing a pissed off Phie.

"Hi, Phie..." Triel trailed off, noticing the purplish substance that was on his head and his lab coat.

"Did you sneak into MY lab again?" He was furious, stepping into Triel's room.

"What? Did I?" Triel asked, wondering did she went to the lab.

"What do you mean DID I?" He is sooo mad at the moment.

"Wait... I didn't go to the lab. Nope, I was here all day, haven't got out yet." Triel thought back and said.

"Then what is this??" Phie pointed to the purple substance that turned into orange after a touch.

"How would I know? What happened?" Triel asked, feeling familiar of the substance.

"I was preparing the chemical needed for the trainees and left for awhile. When I came back, the whole lab is flooded! with these bubbles."

Triel then asked for the list of ingredients that Phie used. She read through it while Phie tried dusting off the substance that was now changing into green color.

"Ah! Did you put the ice jellybean before or after you put in the lightning beans?" Triel asked him about the procedure.

"I put the ice jellybean first. I know, these two things will react. Ice must be before lightning beans." Phie explained, wondering if he had asked the wrong person for advice.

"But for this particular mixture, you have ice as the reactor troublemaker. So, you should have put lightning beans, then gold powder, then ice jellybean." Triel said while checking the ingredients again.

"But it's written there on the report." Phie mumbled, wondering why the report was wrong.

"Umm... about that..."

"You meddled with my DOCUMENTS?!"

"Nope, I was just going to say that I saw someone typing this while eating rum cookies." Triel giggled a little, thinking back how the guy was wobbling in his chair.

"Sawl?" Phie asked.

"I don't know his name." Triel had a blank face on.

"Baldy guy, long face, wearing a dark green, patched coat?" Phie described while Triel nodded.

"Okay, thank you." Phie said and left the room.

"SAWL!!!!!" Sawl fell off his chair, frightened by the scream coming from the hallway.

"Yes?" He went to the doorway, answering timidly.

Phie grabbed him by the collar of his green coat and shouted at his ear.

"So, you're the one stealing my cookies and causing the lab to flood?" Phie shook him like a soft toy.

"Wh... What? What did I do?" Sawl was bewildered by the lab director's state.

"you lousy report writer! You wrecked the lab! You... You! Get this done quickly!" Phie threw the papers on Sawl's desk and left.

After Phie left, Sawl tidied the papers and looked through them. There must be a reason the lab director was that angry.

"And Replace All Of My Cookies!" Phie shouted from outside.

"Right..." Sawl sighed.

"Ahh... Where was I?" Triel asked herself when Phie left, shouting "Sawl".

"Yes! The letter." She went back to the desk.

"How are you? I've finally got a mission. It's a research based one. I'm going to diamond planet. Have you been there? Chaehyun even told me to be careful. Is it that scary? I'm so excited!! How are you at rum island? Or you are already in another place? Any new findings? Please tell me~" Triel then clicked the "send" button, messaging her friend, Alei, an experienced traveler and researcher.
