KL Trip with Coffee 4

We went for Thai boat noodles!

I like their tables and chairs. All of them were wooden colour. The noodles are served in small bowls. You could finish them in two or three mouths if you want to. Both of us ordered 9 bowls total, fish balls, a green-white layered dessert... I think that was it? Ah, we ordered drinks... I called coconut while Coffee's one was... Uh oh... can't remember.

Sorry Coffee. Just to show how apologetic I am, I started this paragraph to apologize to you.

After ordering, we read the books we brought. I was slow in progression while Coffee was at lightning speed. She mentioned about this extremely cute scene between the characters. Ah, sweetly romantic.

Food came pretty fast. I took my time eating and tasting the two sauce for the noodles. There's this herb smell but it was nice for me. One sauce was sour? And more appetizing. The other one was nice with the herbs and it had a light taste.

While eating, there was a table nearby with a few ladies... We couldn't help but to overheard their conversation. Office politics and roommate conflicts. It wasn't our fault, they were quite loud too.

After that we went home and chill out. I can't remember what we did, but it's probably variety shows or random videos... of fathers and their babies called Return of Superman.

We had lok lok for dinner. I can't remember how many rounds we went through that area just to find the open space. The traffic wasn't helping us too. The streets were a bit messy but we did finally figured out where the place was. We found a parking quite fast, getting out to see the place full of people.

It was a hard time getting a place to sit but we managed. I had boiled stuff while Coffee went for grilled ones. It was my first time eating lok lok like that. I never get that chance even thou the truck can be found anywhere at my place. I don't know why too.

We had dessert after that. I forgot what it was called. Mat Dou Yao? I forgot the name... but it's suppose to mean "We have whatever you can think of in this dessert" in dialect. We brought it home where we watch videos on Coffee's laptop while enjoying the Taiwanese-ish dessert.

And that's all for today's rambling.

KL Trip with Coffee 3

We woke up extremely early in the morning... relative to holiday sleep cycle. Coffee had to go for a medical check up for intern. We went out of the house early cause we weren't sure with the directions. This, I might say, is one of the funniest moments in our trip, same level as seeing Kwanghee in Infinite Challenge?

I have no idea how to begin this. Uhm... we drove out, correctly going into the area which the hospital was in. The GPS in the car was working, up to that point only. And... we stopped at a parking lot in front of McD. Debating what to do and even thinking of approaching the car nearby to ask for directions. But we didn't cause based on the driver's reaction, I believe they were also having a hard time figuring out their route.

Somehow we ended up continuing our path ahead. Had a few U-turns and contemplating where to go to next. Ah, and I randomly, assumed that this brown color sign was the hospital. I was extremely wrong thou, it led us to this golf resort. Laughing, and driving randomly, with the help of Coffee's memory and a map on the phone to at least know if there is any road ahead, we stopped at this traffic light to see Jusco in front of us. And on our left was the hospital.

You cannot imagine how happy we were.

We arrived early and waited a while before Coffee filled in her details and went for the tests. I was still reading Vagrant and Coffee was with Eleanor and Park whenever she was free. After completing the tests, we had to wait for the results. Hungry, we ate sandwiches at the cafeteria there.

After that we went home, with the help of the GPS this time. We packed Indian food at the stall near Coffee's dorm. We had lunch at the dorm with air-conditioning. Here, I will say, air-conditioning in KL is an addiction. I cannot stand the heat at all. Or maybe it's just me being fussy hehehe.... I'm still complaining here, in Terengganu where there is none of these electrical miracles.

For teatime, we went out for waffles. Incredibly yummy waffles. It was a café that also specialises in making really yummy waffles. Did I mention that they were yummy? They have these chocolate and caramel fountains at the counter. Looking at them was hypnotizing enough. Coffee was taking photos while we waited. I don't know if it's the atmosphere, deco or lighting, the photos are very nice. There wasn't many people at that time and it was so comfortable there.

After yummy yummy yummy waffle, we decided to have light dinner. Two main reasons. One, waffle was very filling. Two, budget for the day is at its limit. We bought instant noodles and stayed at the dorm for a night of shows and performances. Through the laptop of course, since buying ticket to a concert is too mainstream for a fan girl.

KL Trip with Coffee 2

We met up with Kira since she didn't have work. We decided it would be around Midvalley at this place called Antipodean. It's between Midvalley and the Gardens. A lovely place and the people there are so warm and welcoming that it makes me smile unconsciously.

We arrived early and sat down at the table. The menu was written on a wall. Coffee and I stretched out necks to read and discuss what to order. I was in a moment where there were too many words on the wall that I couldn't just pick one. I decided at that moment to wait for Kira since she knows what's nice.

Coffee started taking pictures and I can't remember what I was doing. When Kira arrive, Coffee was playing with the panorama effect. Kira had a cough and it sounded quite bad actually. It was uh... normal (for us) you could say. At least she was taking medicine.

Kira ordered big breakfast and Coffee went for salmon. The waiter there then recommended me grilled chicken with tomatoes and asparagus. We chatted and updated each other while waiting for the food. Kira was working at this book fest and it was crazy work. Adding in her cough, well, let's just say it's not a good mixture. By the way, food was awesome. I went and like their Facebook page. Hehehe...

After the very satisfying meal, we went to the book fest. Kira browsed through the Chinese and English section while Coffee and I went through the English section only. I still have lots of unread books at home but still... the book fest was too tempting to not buy anything. I ended up with 4 books, where there's 3 fiction, 1 I still have no idea what to categorize as. Coffee bought fictions while Kira bought about 3 bags of books. I have no idea what they were. She's a book lover so yeah, you'd expect three times the books bought as compared to mine.

After that we parted ways with Kira and went back home. On the way we bought McD for dinner. Spent the night with some more infinite challenge and running man. Ah, we also started reading the books that we bought. Wait, uh, I started with a new book while Coffee continued hers, Eleanor and Park... I'm not sure if the spelling is correct or not, sorry. I started with Vagrant.

We slept a little earlier since we had to wake up extra early the next morning.

KL Trip with Coffee 1

On the 14th of July morning, Coffee and I departed from Johor to KL for a trip. It was meant to be a triple threat thing but Tea couldn't make it. *Cries*

Coffee drove while I try my best to be a good girl and not be hyper. Did I do it? I'm not sure... I was singing to songs that was blasting from the speakers. Coffee was singing too! The road trip was about 4 to 5 hours. I was a sloth and slept through more than half of that time. Sorry Coffee, I'm noisy and a sleeper.

When we arrive we went to meet up with Pat. The lovely ladies took their thesis paper thingy and we headed back to their dorm. Coffee and I watched a bit of Running Man and Infinite challenge. Okay, a few hours of variety shows. We laughed a lot. I wonder how much calories we burnt. Coffee, mind doing some calculations?

Dinner was at this Japanese restaurant that focused on set meals instead of sushi. It's called Ichiban Ramen? I can't remember the actual full name but that's what I noted down. It was a small shop and there were a lot of customers. Luckily there was a table for two. The food was nice. I remember having rice with meat and kimchi. Don't know the actual name thou.

After dinner we toured the mall, all floors were journeyed. Coffee was the tour guide and explained where the good stuffs are. We were window shopping... There wasn't anything we specifically searched for anyway. Ah, after walking through all floors, we decided to go for dessert.

Mango Sensation was ordered and we shared it. Luckily we called only one bowl since it was HUGE. We took quite awhile to finish it.

I can't remember what we did after we went back to the dorm. I remember writing random stuff...

And so day 1 ended.
