Translation: Smart Move~

got this from facebook~

I wanted to show someone this short story and made a translation for it (tell me if I'm wrong, I can change it~)... but I didn't send the e-mail after that. I feel like I'll offend that person. So yeah, to anyone who reads this, just read it for fun~ No stress~

A business man named Jack, talked to his son.

Jack: I have decided on a girl, I want you to marry her.

Son: I want to choose my own bride.

Jack: But this girl is Bill Gates's daughter.

Son: Wow! Then...

In a gathering, Jack walked towards Bill Gates

Jack: I want to introduce your daughter to a good husband.

Bill Gates: My daughter hasn't thought of getting married.

Jack: But this man I say is the vice president of the world bank.

Bill Gates: Wow! Then...

After that, Jack went to meet the president of the world bank.

Jack: I want to introduce a young man to be the vice president of your company.

President: We already have many vice presidents, there's more than enough.

Jack: But this young man is Bill Gates's son-in-law.

President: Wow! Then...

In the end, Jack's son married Bill Gates's daughter, and became the world bank's vice president.

Now you know, business is usually dealt like this.

No matter how you call it, being smart, cunning or just scamming, businessmen use this method of dealing with "nothing" to profit themselves. Thus, explaining the old saying "
無奸不成商" (no businessman trades without fraud).

Cut Scene: Mall

"Are you going out?" She asked the guy who had a grey cap on.

"Yes. Wanna follow?" He asked while opening the door.

"Yeah! Wait for me!" She said excitedly, jumping off the couch and grabbing her sweater.

"O...okay." He was startled by her sudden excitement.

The two walked out of the building and into the streets. The girl skipping while the other was walking calmly.

"Where are we going?" She asked suddenly.

"To the mall." He replied with a flat tone.

"Why are you talking like that?" Usually this person is the one to be speaking enthusiastically in any chit chat or projects, yet today, he was in a different state.

"Hmm?" He went wide-eyed, looking strangely at the other.

"Are you alright?" She tilted her head, wondering if this is her friend in front of her.

"I'm okay." He said and continued walking. The other following behind.

"We need to stock up on meat, then veggies, then some fruits. The ketchup is finished too. There's also rice, chillies, sugar. Let's go get that durian shake too!" She listed out the things to buy, not forgetting the sweet durian shake after the shopping.

"That's a lot. Did you bring enough money?" He asked when he heard the non-ending list she was making.

"I'm not sure. Let me check." She took out her purse and started counting the money she had.

"Yeah, enough for the groceries, but maybe not the durian shake..." She pouted, thinking that her sweet durian shake will just have to wait for another time.

"We're here. Where do you want to go first?" The two finally reach the mall after a 20 minutes walk.

"Trolley!"

"Okay then." The two then went to get a trolley.

"Rice first." She said while the other pushed the trolley.

They took 4 bags of rice after checking them.

"Umm... are we going to carry this?" The guy asked when he realized that it was already tough to push the trolley. It was only the first item too!

"Ah! I forgot!! I guess we'll have to do with 1 for now." The two then put the other 3 bags back to the shelf.

"Now the... ketchup." She said and led the other.

They took the ketchup and a few other food cans that were nearby. Then, they went to get a tin of crackers. She also decided to get fish and some vegetables.

Before they went to the cashier, they estimated the amount to be paid. Turns out that they were over their budget, so they took out the fruits that were meant for desserts.

"I guess this is all we need." She said while checking the trolley again.

"We'll get in line then." He then lined up at the cashier counter.

It was a long line before it was their turn.

Cut Scene: Goodbye

"You mean... you're going to kick her out?" He asked, still bewildered by the news.

"Yes. She's a mess and a trouble maker." The elder man said as he watered his plants in the garden.

"But... it's ridiculous! She..." He was cut short when the elder stared at him.

"I already gave her a warning. If she doesn't leave by the end of this week, I'll call the police." The elder said with such calm.

"Hey..." He stood at the doorway while the girl inside the tiny room was packing her things.

"Hi... Anything...?" She smiled, yet how she greeted him sounded sad.

"N... Nothing... So, you're leaving?"

She nodded.

"Do you need any help?" He asked while wondering if he could do anything at all now.

"I guess so..." She hesitated.

Immediately after she said, he walked into her room, helping her to pack up her books that were on the shelves. The two arranged the things into boxes, it was quiet.

It took an hour or so to finish packing.

"Thank you." She said.

"You're welcome..." He said while wondering where she was going to go.

"So... this is goodbye." She smiled and shook his hand.

"Good...bye."

Cut Scene: To The Mart

"Are you going out now?" Her father asked with  authority.

"Y..yes." She was startled to see him behind her.

"Why?" He asked, eying her.

"I need to buy some groceries." She said while taking her bag.

He walked away without uttering another word.

She walked to the bus stop, holding her bag close. It wasn't her first time coming out alone, just that she feels unsecured.

"Going where?" The bus driver asked as soon as she stepped into the bus.

"Olmart." She said while outting the coins into the box.

"Ticket there." The bus driver said and pointed.

"Going where?" He asked then next passenger while the girl looked for a place to sit down.

After sitting down, she took out her phone and started reading a novel.

The bus drove on when all the passengers are on the bus.

"May I sit beside you?" A young boy asked.

She nodded without looking and he sat beside her.

While the bus passed another few stops, she continued with her novel while the boy turned his head here and there, looking at everything around him.

Suddenly, she heard sniffing and sobs.

She turned to see the boy, who was now red-eyed and rubbing the tears off his face.

"Why are you crying? Don't cry." She said while rubbing his back, trying to comfort him.

"I... I... I forgot how to go to the mart... I forgot which stop to go down..." He sobbed.

"Now now... don't cry. Is the mart you're talking about Olmart?" She asked, remembering that there was only one mart near this area.

"Yes, yes, yes. Oolmart... Olmart!" He said, still trying to pronounce the word properly.

"Ah... I am going there too. We'll go there together, okay?" She smiled while wiping his tears for him.

"Okay..." He nodded.
