Cut Scene: To The Mart

"Are you going out now?" Her father asked with  authority.

"Y..yes." She was startled to see him behind her.

"Why?" He asked, eying her.

"I need to buy some groceries." She said while taking her bag.

He walked away without uttering another word.

She walked to the bus stop, holding her bag close. It wasn't her first time coming out alone, just that she feels unsecured.

"Going where?" The bus driver asked as soon as she stepped into the bus.

"Olmart." She said while outting the coins into the box.

"Ticket there." The bus driver said and pointed.

"Going where?" He asked then next passenger while the girl looked for a place to sit down.

After sitting down, she took out her phone and started reading a novel.

The bus drove on when all the passengers are on the bus.

"May I sit beside you?" A young boy asked.

She nodded without looking and he sat beside her.

While the bus passed another few stops, she continued with her novel while the boy turned his head here and there, looking at everything around him.

Suddenly, she heard sniffing and sobs.

She turned to see the boy, who was now red-eyed and rubbing the tears off his face.

"Why are you crying? Don't cry." She said while rubbing his back, trying to comfort him.

"I... I... I forgot how to go to the mart... I forgot which stop to go down..." He sobbed.

"Now now... don't cry. Is the mart you're talking about Olmart?" She asked, remembering that there was only one mart near this area.

"Yes, yes, yes. Oolmart... Olmart!" He said, still trying to pronounce the word properly.

"Ah... I am going there too. We'll go there together, okay?" She smiled while wiping his tears for him.

"Okay..." He nodded.
