Life Of A Saturn's Agent: Banned From Lab

"Triel, you are called to the office." The secretary came into the lecture hall and called for me. I took my things and was excused to be taken out of the hall. The secretary looked a bit intimidated... maybe it was because it was a long walk from the office to this lecture hall. Besides, she was wearing diamond made heels... which is not really suitable for walking in the first place.

Once we reached the office area, the secretary pointed to the office door as she went back to her desk. Her helper was taking a call as she looked at the note the helper was writing. She looks quite strict...

I faced the door, gulping once... it seemed a lot gigantic than the last time I was here. I took my time relaxing my heartbeat that was affected by my nervousness.

I knocked the door and went in, "Sir?"

He was talking on the cell phone as he waved his hand, signalling me to come in.

Funny... he seemed happy? I admit, I didn't get to hand in my report about carbonated vegetables. I sighed even more thinking about Phie banning me from the lab...

"Triel." The officer called me as I was kicked out of my mind into the real world.

"Y..Yes?!" I said a little louder than expected.

"I received the list of trainees from the head class. It seems that you did not hand in this time's report... why?" Taylb, a.k.a "the officer" flipped through the trainee name list.

"I... I was banned from the lab." I said... feeling a tad of fear.

He shook his head as I prepared myself for a long scolding from him.

However... next thing I heard was a chuckled, not a dark and scary one, but a light and nice one.

"Triel... Triel... Triel..." He laughed as I got more confused. What is so funny about being banned from the lab?

"Sir... I can't seem to register what am I doing here..." I said while staring as he laughed more.

"You, trainee, Triel... has been offered a fast track. You are going to be an agent on probation." Taylb said with the authority tone.

"Huh?" I wasn't sure if I heard properly, an agent?? Chaehyun did complain that I tend to hear stuff people don't say.

"You are a probational agent now. We are now having a new program, selecting some trainees to go on field as probational agents. You will be in our first batch. You could say that you're being promoted in a way." Taylb smiled as I gave him a blank look.

"Are you sure?" I asked to be absolutely sure that I have no hearing problems.

"Yes. I'll be assigning your first mission. Meet me a few hours later when I call you. Be sure to not be late." Taylb said and later shoved me out of the office as I was too stunned to move at all.

Life Of A Saturn's Agent: An Appointment

"We'll try next time, alright?" Chaehyun comforted Triel as they left the lab area.

"Okay..." Triel sighed, not because she can't use the lab, but because the assignment can't be completed. The deadline is just a few days away too. She had been waiting for a day where she can step into the lab again, of course, with Chaehyun's help.

Chaehyun suddenly stopped walking.

"Chaehyun?" Triel looked at her weirdly.

"Chaehyun?" Triel shook her which made her come back from whatever trance she had.

"I'm okay. I just remembered I have an appointment. Why don't you go ahead first?" Chaehyun ruffled Triel's hair and left quickly.

"Okay. Bye Chaehyun!" Triel waved excitedly.

"Now, what should I do?" Triel sat in the middle of the corridor and started brainstorming.

@@

"I'm sorry sir." Chaehyun apologized as she was invited to enter the office. Taylb motioned her to sit down and got her a cup of coffee.

"How was your last mission?" Taylb asked after he sipped his cup of coffee.

"It was good. The operation went smoothly." Chaehyun smiled.

However, Taylb wasn't in the same mood. he was pacing around the office. Chaehyun realized that he had this worry in his eyes.

"Umm sir, if you don't mind, is something wrong?" Chaehyun daringly asked. That made Taylb stopped in his tracks.

A smile formed on his face.

"Looks like being a field agent made you improve. Good job, good job indeed." Taylb praised Chaehyun, giving her a pat on the back.

"Anyway, there's another assignment. I need you to go to this diamond planet. There seems to be some problem with their water treatment plant. Go check it out and give me an update." Taylb explained a new case and handed a file to Chaehyun.

"Yes, sir." Chaehyun nodded while flipping the file, going through the basic info.

"Another thing. Just a heads up, this planet is quite dangerous. Do not get cut by the diamond ground. Diamond cuts can be fatal." Taylb said in a serious tone.

Chaehyun nodded.

"If there's nothing else, you may be dismissed. Good luck, agent."

Chaehyun nodded and left the office.

"Another mission..."

Life Of A Saturn's Agent: Help? (2)

As the newly promoted lab director, Phie had lots to do. So many paperwork, so many meetings, so many things... the labs need to be kept at their best, substances all in stock, kept in proper containers, checked and labelled. It was a hectic life he now has, yet he was happy. No more lessons, no more assignment reports, in fact, he's been less cheeky these days. The best thing? Djie, a.k.a the discipline officer is not looking for him anymore. Somehow, the lab director position gave him this feeling that he has to be a responsible person as well as a mature one.

"Why didn't I think of that in the first place..." Djie sighed from outside the lab. Phie was now double checking the lists of new chemicals that were brought into the labs. He was so absorbed in his work that he didn't notice Djie standing just a few feet away.

Djie's phone vibrated. It was a reminder for him to go and have a surprise check at the trainees' dorms. He left the lab area with a small smile, contented that this 4-year trainee had found his place here.

It was a few minutes before lunch break will be over. Phie stretched himself after finally checking the last box of chemicals and storing them. He sat there, feeling very happy of his efficiency today. He had scanned through products from 2 different companies, the fastest record he's had within his time as a lab director.

As he was sitting in his big chair and relaxing himself, he heard people talking. The voices getting nearer and nearer. He ignored it since the lab wasn't scheduled to be in use today. But as the voices became louder, his heart beat became faster.

"Something's not right..." He sighed as he dragged his body to the doorway.

"... and you know, it really took me a lot of effort..." A girl's voice echoed.

"No..." He mentally said. His worst nightmare. He scurried back to his table and tidied the place up as fast as he can.

He took his belongings and got out of the lab. He took out his keys and with fumbling fingers, try to lock it.

"Hello Phie!" The girl greeted him, making him drop his keys.

"Hi... Triel." He smiled, trying to suppress his nervous expression.

"Sorry if I scared you." Triel said and picked up the keys for him.

"No, no. I'm alright. Who's your friend?" Phie asked of the level one agent beside Triel as he took the keys from her.

"She's Chaehyun. Phie, can we use the lab today? I have an assignment I must do." Triel said with the most pleading expression she could make.

"I'm sorry. I have to uhh... I have something urgent. Sorry." Phie said as he pushed the key into the lock.

"Please? I promise I won't do anything funny. I promise I'll be careful. Everything will be in the same order as you put them." Triel tried persuading him.

"I really can't. Maybe next time. I have to go now. Bye." Phie practically dashed off after he made sure he locked the door.

He never wanted the trainee to be near his lab within a ten feet radar. The last time she was in a lesson, she made this exploding purple candy that made the whole lab messy. The test tubes and containers, beakers... anything glass-made in that lab were destroyed. It took him a full three days to confirm the lab wasn't radioactive and another 5 days to clean up everything. That incident really made him phobic towards Triel.

Bla Bla Bla

*warning: rant. nothing happy here~ please skip to find a happier post~*

maybe it's because of the heat? or because i've been sleeping late these days? finding life a little...lost... just went to the edu fair earlier. so many options... yet... what do i have? what do i want? i still can't seem to answer myself. thinking back... to be truthful... was i even serious about my studies? was i even enthusiastic about it? somehow... growing up has made me more lost than ever... is it? even taking the subject i like... or maybe i once liked... was so scary... what was once a feeling of "yeah, this is how i think" becomes a "what am i writing?"... is growing up that tough? does it really feel like this? all this time... do i want to admit how i actually feel? or do i want to hide from the truth? from the horrifying truth that was already in front of my eyes? two different lives... both so different... yet i may need to choose between these two... to put it here.... either... a beggar's life... or a forced life... why do i have to put such sad words to describe my choices? at this moment... i just want to let go... no more hidden meaning or thinking on the bright side, just for a moment. after that, i'll try my best to be on the bright side, promise. just bear with me for awhile... what are you interested in? the people at the fair asked... i answered what i usually do... like what the elders want. a part of me would usually say... yeah, you can follow them, do what they wish for you to do. besides, it's a good thing, and you get to show your respect for them... but at times... just like now, i cringe at the thought of myself... doing what others want... do i have the talent? do i stand against the challenge ahead of me? it is a tough road the elders gave. now... do i even qualify to be thinking about this? maturity? i never had it in me... i'm usually thinking what the elders have thought me to think. decisive? i've never made a decision by myself... how awful is that... at times like this... i really do wonder... how have i lived my life... how am i going to live later on? no answer to that...

Life Of A Saturn's Agent: Help?

"Triel, where's the report..." Taylb was quite annoyed at this child in front of him.

"Umm... I seemed to have misplaced it..." Triel was searching her desk frantically while Taylb was going to blow up by the second. It was a simple task. Read and write. How hard could it be? This kid can't last...

"Triel, if you can't finish the report, just tell the truth." Taylb sighed.

"I finished it. In fact, here it is!" Triel said happily. In her hand was a folio finished with a colorful front page.

"I... Good job..." Taylb took the folio and left. Wondering what is in this kid's mind. Not worried... So happy at all times... or do they from Pluto are always this happy?

"Now... What do I do?" Triel asked herself while sitting at her desk. She looked around to see that she was the only one in the office after Taylb left. Everyone was on lunch break. She took out her phone and pressed the speed dial.

"Hello? Chaehyun, are you busy?" Triel asked once she heard the voice from the other end.

"I'm having my lunch now. Why?" Chaehyun munched on the jellybean rice she was having.

"Can you help me on this project? It's about the food chemistry lab..." Triel trailed off. She was weak in lab works. She has this curiosity heart that makes her want to mix up all the colorful stuff in the lab... which almost always end up in some kind of explosion. Phie had banned her from entering the lab since he was promoted.

"Okay, I'll help. On one condition." Chaehyun said sternly.

"Thank you!!! What condition?" Triel was already jumping in the quiet office.

"You have to make me that colorful ice cream you made last time. This time I want a whole box of it." Chaehyun smiled.

She couldn't forget that sweet, creamy, icy, rainbow flavored ice cream. Triel had made it accidentally on one of the lab lessons last time. It wasn't hazardous since Chaehyun knew the ingredients were all harmless. There were about 60 different substances used. She never got to learn to make the ice cream since Triel was the only one who knows the amount of each ingredient needed. Triel never bothered noting down, saying she would lose the list anyways... which is true.

"Okay! Come quickly!" Triel said excitedly. She hadn't gone into the food chemistry lad for a few months. Thinking of how excited she would be to see all of those substances in vials and glasses made her smile.

"Let me finish my lunch first. See you later at the lab then." Chaehyun ended the call.

A Story Not Told

A story created by mushroom and me that was drafted over a year ago.

"Snow White, the princess who survived from the evil Queen’s plot. The prince married her… and they lived happily ever after…"

Chapter 1

Chapter 2

A Story Not Told 1: The Truth

It was dinner, just as usual, only the two of them together at the table. However, this time, Prince Edward was restless. Something was bothering him. Princess Snow tried to talk to him but he kept quiet, not even looking at her at all. He was in his own world and Princess Snow was worried about him.

“Prince Edward, is something bothering you?” She tried again after dinner. The two of them were at the balcony, gazing at the twinkling stars above.

Prince Edward sighed to himself. He felt so tired. So tired, because of a secret he had hid from Princess Snow. The feeling of guilty in him was eating him up slowly, painfully. What sort of a man was he? How lucky was he, to have such a beautiful, kind, gentle princess to be beside him… and he lies to her?

“Edward… please, Edward, talk to me.” Princess Snow looked at him with more worry.

“Snow… Princess Snow, I’m sorry…” Prince Edward whispered. He knew, he had to tell her…

“Whatever would you want to apologize for, my prince?” Princess Snow was surprised at how Prince Edward is acting. What has happened to him?

“Princess Snow. I… I have lied to you. I’m sorry…” Prince Edward was now on his knees, tears were now blurring his eyes.

“What on Earth…?” Princess Snow couldn’t utter a thing. What Prince Edward had just told her… what was going on?

“I must tell you the truth.” He was still on his knees, not knowing what to do.

“Please, Prince Edward…” Princess Snow helped him up and led him inside. She made him sit and she poured him a cup of tea.

“I’m not Prince Edward.” Prince Edward said, startling Princess Snow.

“I… I am a slave of the Queen, your stepmother…” The man before Princess Snow said slowly.

“Please, Prince Edward. Do not play such tricks…” Princess Snow said seriously.

“I’m not playing a trick. Please listen to me. I was forced to be a slave… a slave of the Queen. She and Willow, the witch from the west, had cast a spell to make me look like Prince Edward… The Queen wanted revenge, on you, as well as for being banished from the kingdom. The King… the king is not out in the woods hunting, Princess Snow. The King and Prince Edward were taken by her and imprisoned…” He told her as he resisted the pain in his body, the pain that was killing him from the inside.

He felt his bones twisting inside him. His blood rushing as his heart beat wildly. Excruciating pain… was all he felt in his skull. He couldn’t do anything about it. The slave knew the Queen too well. He knew… he was cursed. Once he reveals that he wasn’t the real prince… he knew his life will be ended.

“Princess Snow, I am sorry. What I have done is unforgivable. I am sorry…” He apologized as he took his last breath.

Princess Snow sat beside the now lifeless body. Tears fell as she held him in her arms. He had died a painful death. No matter how badly he had lied to her… he was forced to lie... he was still a human being… he did not deserve to die such a death…

20121208 A First Try

a very interesting day~?

I went to have a treatment on a scar I have since primary 3. The doctor gave me a few shots of this yellowish cream-like thing into the scar. It was kinda stinging... but it wasn't that scary~ just that even after 7 hours it has this small pain once in awhile. It's not really painful but it's kinda of a nuisance? Imagine someone poking you with a needle, in a playful way without any bleeding. It feels like that now~ Wonder when will this feeling stop~ The doctor said I'll have to do this injection... once every week or two weeks to let the scar fade... Wondering how many shots do I have to go~ aigoo~ aigoo~

Hwaiting!!!
